accessory electrical fuse box for gl1800 In the fuse box there are two "accessory hook up bolts" top left. I currently have a heated vest hooked directly to the + and - battery terminals which is likely not the best thing to do although the vest has an in line fuse at the on/off switch. I am installing the Auxiliary fuse box power plate by Electrical Connections on my 2012 GoldWing . I have one issue with a blue wire that is the turn on trigger for the relay. The instructions say to connect it to a wire that is hot when the key is on but deactivated when the starter button is pushed.The Power Plate is the only fuse block that accepts 3 fuse types; ATC, mini ATC and micro ATC. Our patented design gives you flexibility never before available. Now in the smallest footprint of any fuse block. You could purchase an accessory fuse block and turn it on an off with the Acc protected terminal and then for its main source of power come straight off the battery terminals. Then you can hook up your clothing, GPS or anything else. But, note and read your manual. Under the left hand panel next to the battery. There is a box on the left, two clips(lever type) keep the cover on. You should have a small fuse remover in the case - very useful as the fuses are small,and if like me you have large fingers, difficult to remove.
The same bus that runs that accessory terminal also runs a ton of other things - radio, turn signals, dashboard, suspension control, switch lights. If those things are still working, then the only fuse that could have blown is fuse 10, your accessory terminal fuse. I currently have three electrical accessories hooked directly to my battery: 1)my Gerbing power harness, 2)wife's Gerbing power harness & 3)"pigtail" connector for my battery charger.
